Alipay arrives in Greece via Viva Payments

Bank of Cyprus Taps IBM Technology to Accelerate Digital Transformation

CleverAdviser tops £1bn milestone

CleverAdviser, the cloud-based fund analysis software for IFAs which uses artificial intelligence, has reported passing the milestone of passing £1 billion of client assets through its process. CleverAdviser was originally created in 2000 by Colum Wilde, a Cheshire-based IFA, who wanted to find a better way of protecting his clients’ investments.

Wilde created an automated process that would sift and sort funds on a monthly basis and inform him of the best time to switch out of underperforming funds, protecting his clients from unnecessary losses.

The ai Corporation approved as an Electronic Money Institution

Payment and risk management experts, The ai Corporation’s (ai) and its suite of payment solutions, including machine learning risk management tools, have been granted an e-money licence by the UK Financial Conduct Authority (FCA).

The ai Corporation received formal approval for its e-money licence application from the FCA earlier this month, which will enable ai to provide fully FCA compliant financial services. The new licence means that ai is now regulated as an Electronic Money Institution (EMI), a change from its previous status as an authorised payments institution. The change is effective from 1st July 2017.

Worldpay US upgrades omni-channel platform

Worldpay US is introducing today a suite of new features to its omni-channel platform, Worldpay Total. The new capabilities are designed to better support the needs of existing customers as well as access to additional markets, including card-not-present and Windows-based merchants.
