Monese introduces Turkish language customer support to its growing international offering.

Monese users will now be able to use the Monese app, email and in-app chat support in Turkish, as well as 11 other languages. Telephone customer support will be introduced over the coming weeks. Monese is the first mobile only banking service to offer comprehensive customer support for customers in Turkish. With Monese, customers can now also send Turkish Lira to bank accounts in Turkey at highly competitive rates.

The introduction of Turkish language customer support and Lira comes as Monese has continued to listen and respond to the needs of its increasingly international and mobile user base. This function will allow Turkish speakers to access Monese’s comprehensive range of banking services, as well as the ability to transfer funds in Turkish Lira at highly competitive rates.

Monese offers instant UK and European dual accounts, which can be opened in as little as two minutes, from a mobile phone, with proof of ID and a video selfie. Opening an account requires no paper proof of address. Monese is portable across 20 countries and now available in 12 languages. With Monese, customers can set-up recurring payments, request payments from friends and family, view personal spending overviews, plus instant banking statements.

Turkish Lira can be sent to bank accounts in Turkey at highly competitive rates, which can be up to eight times less expensive than high street banks. Our fees vary depending on the plan customers sign up to with Monese:

  • Plus – 0.7% fee*
  • Premium – 0% fee

All Monese customers can use their Monese debit card to withdraw cash and make purchases when in Turkey.
