WePlay HUB, one of the biggest gaming acceleration programs in Europe, started its first program with 14 game studios from 7 countries.

WePlay Ventures, a Netherlands-based investment fund established to invest in gaming studios in Europe, Central Asia, and Turkey, launched WePlay HUB, one of Europe’s biggest gaming acceleration programs it announced earlier this year, to contribute to the development of early-stage gaming studios and reach all studios in the region. WePlay HUB, which received more than 300 applications from 15 countries, admitted 14 game studios from 7 different countries who completed the detailed evaluation process for its first program.

Europe’s most comprehensive and effective gaming acceleration program: WePlay HUB

Studios participating in the WePlay HUB program receive more than a hundred hours of training in technical and business development topics over three months. These gaming studios have the opportunity to enhance their skills in key areas such as successful game publishing, investment strategy development, and preparation of investment documents. At the same time, they can boost their technical capacities through the training received from expert mentors. Thanks to its robust partnerships, WePlay Ventures provides the studios admitted to the acceleration program with opportunities to work with and form partnerships with publishers, service providers, game engine developers, and leading large game companies within the industry. WePlay HUB also aims to manage the investment processes of early-stage gaming studios and address their shortcomings during investor meetings. Furthermore, it offers these studios the opportunity to receive investment from WePlay Ventures at the end of the program, subject to evaluations conducted throughout its duration.

The WePlay HUB program aims to provide the support needed by every studio in Europe, Central Asia, and Turkey!

Burak Yılmaz,  Managing Director of WePlay Ventures, stated that they are very excited about this program and said, “Since the day WePlay was founded, we have been committed to contributing to the development of early-stage game studios and fostering the growth of the game ecosystem. Turkey has emerged as a crucial market within the global game ecosystem. We aim to leverage the experiences we’ve gained from contributing to the Turkish ecosystem, using the WePlay HUB program to benefit game studios in Europe and Central Asia. This strategy allows us to speed up the development of other emerging gaming ecosystems and increase the number of successful game studios. The WePlay HUB program is set to run continuously, restarting each quarter and solidifying its position as one of the industry’s leading entities by aiding the development of hundreds of studios. I would like to extend my congratulations to all the studios selected for the program and wish them continued success.
